Cyprus participates for the first time in the eTwinning Programme with the Ministry of Education and Culture as National Support Service

The Cyprus Youth Organisation is designated as the National Agency of Youth in Action

Creation of the Erasmus+ programme

The Directorate General for Development, Ministry of Finance (then the Planning Office) is designated as the National Authority for the programme

Two National Agencies for Erasmus+

Lifelong Learning Foundation (IDEP) takes over the education and training sectors and the ONEK the youth sector.

The Directorate General for Development assumes the role of National Authority for the Erasmus+ Programme and supervises the IDEP and the ONEK (Youth Board).

Erasmus+ programme with double the budget

The Sport sector is entrusted to the Hellenic Institute for Sport and Tourism

The Youth sector is entrusted to the IDEP. The IDEP is the exclusive National Agency in Cyprus for the management of the European programmes Erasmus+, eTwinning, Eurodesk and European Solidarity Corps.
